TEP is a program that works with youth in Sacramento County between the ages of 12 and 18. Youth participate in tobacco activities such as training, meetings, data collection and policy advocacy events.

Program Goals

  • Protect the public from secondhand smoke
  • Reduce youth access to tobacco products
  • Develop and distribute educational resources on tobacco
  • Provide training and technical assistance to local organizations working on tobacco control
  • Decrease the number of tobacco users including those who chew, smoke, and vape

This program makes a difference for youth by increasing their knowledge and understanding of the impact of tobacco on health and well-being as well as tobacco-related policy advocacy

What is in it for you?

Youth gain an understanding of the harms of tobacco as well as myths related to tobacco use

Is there a stipend?

Yes, there is a $50 stipend and additional money for snacks
