This is a project-based youth advocacy program in collaboration with SCUSD Safe Schools. Students have the opportunity to participate in meaningful, social gatherings with peers to actively engage and/or give feedback on school site initiatives around tobacco, drug, and alcohol usage.
The goal of this program is to prevent tobacco use, increase awareness of the harms of tobacco products, and learn about policies around tobacco.
Increases youth perception of harm for vaping and e-cigs and other tobocco products.
Students walk away with a better understanding of the danger of tobacco use and the impact on themselves and the community.
Youth gain knowledge about tobacco-related policies. Youth create advocacy projects to increase awareness in their communities. Students will receive community service hours for executing youth-led projects.
No Stipend is offered at the moment.
