Ana Taukolo is a graduate of California State University, Chico, with a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and a Bachelor of Arts in Multicultural and Gender Studies with an emphasis on Diversity. She spent four years at CSU Chico and coordinated monthly programs for a youth empowerment program called, Pipeline through College. Throughout Ana’s experiences with Pipeline, she was able to mentor students of color and marginalized groups, facilitate diverse conversations, empower students to dream big, and change the dynamics of a pipeline to prison, creating opportunities for a pipeline to, and of course through, college.
She is passionate about youth empowerment and working with communities of color and marginalized groups to create systemic change through personal experiences with oppression. Ana specializes in creating programs that focus on youth empowerment and mentor-ship for young individuals who grow up in areas of poverty encouraging them to look beyond their barriers as underrepresented students and to stop the per-determination and biases that keep them from being powerful beyond measures.
