For a second year, PRO Youth and Families is excited to present Summer @ City Hall, a collaboration with the City of Rancho Cordova. This program combines a seminar in job readiness training with a paid internship in city government and municipal service. Youth work alongside city staff, gain hands on experience in public sector employment, and develop as student leaders.
Summer seminar will start July 9 and run through August 2. Participants attend Monday through Thursday from 10 am to 12 pm, and participate in hands on projects, field trips, and guest speakers.
While participating in the seminar, students will earn a $400 stipend as interns for the City of Rancho Cordova. Various internship placements are available in departments like the City Manager’s Office, Neighborhood Works, Neighborhood Services, Communications and more. Internship hours are Tuesday through Thursday from 1 pm to 4 pm. Internship programming will run from July 10 to August 2.
Summer @ City Hall is open to Rancho Cordova residents ages 13-18. Applications and resumes are due by Friday, May 18. Apply online here.
